Reduce Risk of Injuries
Become a Better Leader and Coach
Coaches, how is it actually going?
Do you struggle to properly cue your female athlete and aren't getting the results you’re looking for?
Do you know something just isn’t right, but you’re not sure how to identify it?
Are you looking for a female centric approach to coaching your team, enhancing performance and preventing injuries?
You are not alone.
There is a serious lack of information, training and coaching programs that are designed for female athletes and this deficit of information is affecting our teams.
Traditional Coaching Isn’t Working for Female Athletes
It’s designed for men. The research, programs, workout plans, and skills development are based on male anatomy and don't address the foundational movement patterns that are necessary for success in any sport.
You will achieve limited results by trying to force female athletes to use sport performance tactics that are not built with their bodies in mind. Especially when adolescent bodies are experiencing puberty at different rates and in different ways. This one-size-fits-all approach often creates a narrative of weakness that simply isn’t true.
This lack of understanding of the female athlete can lead girls and young women to drop out of sports at a young age because they either don’t feel confident, get injured or don’t know how to move their bodies in a way that works for their anatomy and physiology.
By not providing our female athletes with this information, we do them a disservice and continue to perpetuate outdated narratives.
But it doesn't have to be this way anymore. Now that we know better, we can do better.
Now coaches can support female athletes in an entirely new way, that is based on functional movement patterns and helping girls and women understand HOW to move their bodies, thus creating a solid foundation of movement patterns for life.
There is a better option.

Hi I’m Micaela
Registered Physiotherapist, Neurofunctional Sports Performance Practitioner, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Founder of Instil Physio and the Creator of She Moves
I created She Moves because I was sick and tired of seeing female athletes struggle because of misinformation about their own bodies. As an industry there has been a lack of access to information that really matters, that can prevent injury and enhance performance and help girls and women feel confident and strong in their own bodies.
I created She Moves so that girls, coaches, teams and organizations could have access to state-of-the-art information and knowledge that professional athletes have been using for years, which will also benefit youth sports and female athletes.

The Psychology of Coaching Female Athletes
"Instil Physio provides me with exercises and suggestions of how I can stay away from injury and become not only stronger but closer to reaching my athletic goals."
M.M. Volleyball Athlete
"Micaela Zettel has been volunteering her time for the past 5 years to come in and educate high school girls about their pelvic floor health. She is an excellent role model for teenage girls. She is so knowledgeable, passionate, and comfortable talking about this important aspect of women’s health that is often ignored. Micaela empowers the girls to take control of their bodies and health and engages them in important conversations. Micaela is helping a group of women to learn to take care of their bodies and creates an awareness that may be ignored without her giving her time to be involved in our program."
